Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, Capitol Campus Child Care Center will have closures and delayed openings following the Olympia School District’s inclement weather plan. For example, if the Olympia School District (OSD) schools are on a 3-hour delay due to snow, we will open at 10:30am (3 hours later than normal) and will not be serving breakfast. Notifications will be sent out via the Playground App in the event that we have a late start or closure.

In the case that the OSD is closed for a scheduled break (such as the 2-week Winter Break in December) and there is inclement weather, parents will be notified via the Playground App by 6:15am as to our decision to either have a delayed opening or a full-day closure. In this scenario, if you have not received an inclement weather notification, you may assume we are open and running on our normal schedule.
